Over 920,000 Tennesseans live at or below the poverty level . It is a statewide issue with 89 of 90 counties having double digit poverty rates. To help provide relief to these families, Tennessee Baptists work to connect children and their families to Christ through the Christmas Backpack Program. Each backpack contains the Christmas story, a Bible, and toys. (Note: Bibles & Christmas Story will be provided for each backpack.) FBCSH has 24 backpacks to fill. Information about this mission event and items needed will be available at the Welcome Desk beginning July 11.
