Brother Mike grew up in Columbus Georgia. Is a graduate of Furman University in South Carolina and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Married to Jolene, they have 3 grown children; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. He has pastored churches in Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Ministered and preached extensively across the United States and overseas.

Upon the retirement Brother J.C. Christian (our pastor of eighteen years), Brother Mike began his tenure as our Transitional Interim Pastor. He has served as a transitional pastor in churches throughout middle Tennessee since his retirement from First Baptist Church in Columbia Tennessee in 2005. We are blessed to have him with us and sure you’ll him to be a dynamic and powerful, yet practical and personally engaging preacher of the Gospel! He has a pastor’s heart and will love meeting you.

Jonathan has a BS in Commercial Music from Greenville College and Master of Music from Illinois State University (Emphasis in Piano Performance and Music Composition. Jonathan plays, performs, and records on over 20 instruments. Jonathan is married to Billie and they have three daughters: Sadie, Sofie, and a baby girl Cadence.

Kristen has a BS from MTSU in Elementary Education. She has worked with children and their families since 2004 in church and school settings. She and her husband Andrew have 3 children, Clara, James and Georgia Cate. She loves spending time with her family, playing games, cooking with her kids, and going to the beach.

Paula joined the staff of First Baptist in October 2012 bringing over 20 years of church office experience. Paula and her husband, John, love riding their motorcycle and are active members of FAITH Riders Motorcycle Ministry. They have three adult children (all married), two grandsons, and two granddaughters.
